I was trying to write the best pop song. I was basically trying to imitate the Pixies. I have to admit it. When I first heard Pixies, I connected with that band so much that I even thought I should be in it – or at least in a Pixies cover band. It’s a great song. While the burgeoning power and fragility of Nevermind’s tracks hold steady throughout, Lounge Act slouches; the band couldn’t be willing to think of an ending for the track, so they simply slowed down the recorder.
