María Isabel Pantoja Martín (pronunciación española: [isaˈβel panˈtoha]; nacida el 2 de agosto de 1956) es una cantante española. Nació en el barrio de Triana de Sevilla, España. Ha publicado más de una docena de álbumes a lo largo de una carrera que abarca varias décadas, en su mayoría de género copla, y es conocida por su característico estilo andaluz.

El 30 de abril de 1983 se casó con el torero Francisco Rivera Pérez «Paquirri»; la boda fue ampliamente cubierta por los medios de comunicación españoles ya que ambos eran populares y exitosos y encarnaban el estereotipo de la España romántica del torero y la tonadillera. El 26 de septiembre de 1984 murió en la plaza de toros; Pantoja pasó a ser conocida como «la viuda de España» en los medios de comunicación y portada habitual de las revistas de cotilleo. Tras un prolongado paréntesis, publicó el álbum Marinero de Luces, compuesto por José Luis Perales, que vendió un millón de copias en España.

En 1988, publicó Desde Andalucía, un álbum producido por el cantante y compositor mexicano Juan Gabriel. En 1989 publicó Se me enamora el alma, su álbum más comercial, con modernos ritmos programados, compuestos por Perales.
